The Safeplay Spinning Whirl comprises concentric tubular steel rings mounted atop six tubular steel radial arms radiating out from a raised central column. The concentric rings, column and radial arms are mounted on a shaft in the ground around which the apparatus rotates. Smooth rotation of the Spinning Whirl is achieved by means of a bearing. The children grip the radial tubular arms and use their legs and feet to propel the apparatus before jumping onto the rings and enjoying the ride as the Spinning Whirl continues to spin round and round.

Construction

• Galvanised tubular steel used in construction for rust proofing and corrosion protection.
• All welds are full welds, ground down, cleaned up and painted with cold galv for further rust prevention.
• Painted with PA10 undercoat as further protection against rust and corrosion.
• All steel work finished with two coats of enamel gloss paint.
